I was one of 13 who came to Villa Sumaya with RAY/diant Heat Yoga in March 2026. This venue provided a unique opportunity to share a piece of paradise at Lake Atitlan in Guatemala. Through all of our activities and my time here I felt the spirit of the highest intentions supporting me on my spiritual sober yoga journey. I disembarked feeling rejuvenated and inspired as a result of my experiences with the other retreat attendees and especially with the Villa Sumaya team of hosts and service providers. I have fun memories and amazing stories to tell from my visit.
Read on GoogleWe visited Villa Sumaya in October of 2025 and it was a magical experience. The property is well taken care of with beautiful and interesting plants. The staff is excellent - they are friendly, quick, and made us feel incredibly welcome. There are several sweet pets that live on site that were always willing to receive pets and very well behaved. The food was delicious and I have continued to make their recipes at home. While there we enjoyed swimming, massages, sauna, sound baths, readings, and more. I rarely visit the same place twice, but I'll be back to Villa Sumaya :)

Villa Sumaya is not just a place to stay. It is a space that holds you, calms the nervous system, and gently guides you back to yourself. An experience that stays with you.
Read on GoogleI can't say enough to describe the magic at Villa Sumaya. It's not a 5-star hotel (you will see some bugs and the walls are thin) but it's absolutely a 5-star experience and service. The rooms and views are stunning. The staff are kind, helpful, and accommodating. The services and experiences are transcendent. I can't rave about Villa Sumaya enough.
