How featured placement works
Featured and Premium listings appear earlier in directory browsing and are eligible for the homepage rotation. Both carry a visible label, so guests always know which placements are paid. What placement can never do: change a Retreat Ledger Score, reorder or soften reviews, purchase the Verified badge, or influence the Annual Awards. The trust that makes this directory useful to guests is the same trust that makes placement here worth paying for, and we protect it in that order.
Asked and answered
Does paying improve my score or my reviews?
No, and it never will. Featured and Premium placement change where your retreat appears in browsing, and both are clearly labeled. Scores come only from guest reviews and editorial assessment. There is no product on this site that touches either one.
What does claiming cost?
Nothing. Claiming your retreat, editing your listing, responding to reviews, and publishing dates are free and always will be. Paid placement is optional and separate.
How does the claim process work?
You submit a short claim form from your retreat profile or the claim page. Our team verifies that you represent the retreat, usually within one to two business days, and then the listing is yours to manage through the owner dashboard.
My retreat is not listed yet. Can I add it?
Yes. Use the Add a Retreat page to submit it. Our editorial team reviews every submission before it goes live, and you can claim it as soon as it is published.
Can I remove a review I disagree with?
No. Owners can respond to reviews but cannot edit or remove them. If a review violates our guidelines, flag it for moderation and a human will look at it. This policy is what makes the reviews on your profile worth something.
How do I cancel a paid plan?
Any time, from the owner dashboard, through the billing portal. Your placement runs to the end of the paid period and your listing, reviews, and scores remain exactly as they were.
