These are reviews published on Google, not on Retreat Ledger. We show them because a listing with no first-hand accounts yet still deserves some evidence, but they are not moderated by us and they never affect the Retreat Ledger Score. Google returns at most five, chosen by them, so treat this as a sample rather than the full picture.

While out of any main town and lacking transportation, this hotel is fantastic. Cannot say enough about the staff. I met Ahmed at the bar and he was super helpful and nice. The next day when my uber cancelled on me, he offered to give me a ride to town with all my baggage! Such a kind gesture and honestly the vibes the entire staff gave my entire two day visit. Absolutely fantastic, the way hospitality should be. I will be back many times. And thanks to the entire wonderful staff, including Stephanie who checked me in very late and was very accommodating. One of the best value-for-stays I’ve ever experienced. Worth every penny. Hint: stay at the main lodge, the cabins are two miles down the road and the pool and hot tub are phenomenal. Visit the lake if you wanna, but stay in the lodge. Also, shout out to the taxidermist! Some world class pieces on display.

If you want a peaceful getaway with lots of mountainous activities this is the place! The staff were amazing and the rooms were exquisite! This truly is a relaxing place to go, complete with no TVs in the rooms (a selling point for me). I was there for a work function but I plan on returning with my wife at some point.

This is to provide constructive feedback regarding my recent stay in Room 424 (May 22–25). I am not seeking a refund or credit; my goal is simply to explain why my wife and I chose to cut our Memorial Weekend short with your hotel and opt going back to alternative hotel accomodations in Wenatchee. First, I want to highlight the exceptional aspects of your resort. The food was great, the staff provided consistently excellent service, and the spa was truly phenomenal—our masseuses were absolute professionals who provided some of the best services we have ever experienced. Unfortunately, the condition and lack of basic amenities in our room made it impossible for us to stay: - Lack of Ambient Noise (No TV/Radio): As someone with chronic insomnia, total silence is a severe sleep trigger for me. The room lacked a TV or even a basic radio to generate necessary background noise. While I understand some guests seek an "unplugged" experience, a TV is a standard amenity at any 4-star lodge (and prominently featured in your online photos). It is often a necessary tool for basic comfort, not just entertainment. - Unusable Balconies: Because the silence inside was unmanageable, my wife suggested we use our outdoor spaces on either Balcony. Unfortunately, both of our balconies were entirely unusable due to the nauseating accumulation of bird feces piling up. - Unmanageable Insects: While I grew up in Eastern Washington and fully understand seasonal bugs, the hotel grounds and hot tub were essentially "mosquito soup," rendering these outdoor amenities unusable as well. In summary, we were trapped between an unmanageable indoor and unmaintained outdoor spaces. If the idea of a relaxing, dream vacation is full of sacrifice and scarcity, then the Sun Mountain Lodge is for you! Having to deal with this on Memorial Day weekend was incredibly disappointing.

This place was great. My wife and I booked a weekend stay for our 29 year wedding anniversary. No TV in the rooms but free WiFi. Definitely a great place to reconnect with your significant other. They have multiple things to do like playing pool, ping pong, hiking and horse riding are just a few things you can do without leaving the property. Relax with your significant other with a couples massage like we did or get a solo massage followed up with use of the complementary steam room. Best time to visit would probably be Mother’s Day weekend though the summer so surrounding businesses will be open. Either way we had a great time and would definitely recommend stay.

It honestly pains me to leave this review because I had such high expectations after reading so many positive reviews before our stay. We chose Sun Mountain Lodge for our honeymoon trip in August, which made the experience even more disappointing. Check-in was seamless and the staff at the front desk were kind and efficient. The rooms were clean, and the views were absolutely stunning! Truly the highlight of the property. Unfortunately, our experience at the hotel restaurant was extremely disappointing. There were an overwhelming number of flies. I’m not exaggerating when I say it felt like hundreds. At one point, I had to slam my menu shut to kill one that landed on it. It made it very difficult to enjoy our meal. On top of that, the food itself was subpar. I’d rate it maybe a 1/5. It was simply not good. Between the flies, the poor food quality, and the overall underwhelming experience, it did not feel like the honeymoon getaway we were hoping for… especially given the reputation and price point. I really wanted to love this place, but sadly it did not live up to expectations.
