These are reviews published on Google, not on Retreat Ledger. My friend and I had a really beautiful experience at Sadhana Yoga in Pokhara. The atmosphere was so peaceful and welcoming, and everyone we met was so kind, warm, and supportive. It felt like a very special place to slow down, relax, and learn in a beautiful location. We both learned so much during our time there and left feeling refreshed and grateful for the experience. The food was also delicious every day — fresh, healthy, and made with a lot of care. I’d highly recommend Sadhana Yoga to anyone looking for a peaceful and authentic experience in Nepal.
Read on GoogleWe booked in for 2D/2N trek recovery package and added an extra day. It was a great place for rest and recovery. Yoga, massage, meditation was lovely and the food was really delicious. It seemed to be no problem for them to cater for my gluten free diet needs. So blessed to have had this amazing experience 🙏💕
Read on GoogleAlthough we were only there for a short two-day retreat, I can wholeheartedly recommend Sadhana Yoga as a perfect getaway. The schedule is well-balanced; you’re kept busy but not overwhelmed. You’ll learn many meaningful techniques that have been established for good reason. The atmosphere is respectful, peaceful, and calm; the food is fantastic, and the view is breathtaking.
Read on GoogleSadhana Yoga Retreat was exactly what I needed. Was looking for some mindful healing and I found it here. The people running it are welcoming, knowledgeable, supportive, encouraging and work with you wherever you’re at. The views from the retreat are stunning. Loved the guided meditation and yoga. And the food, delicious! I went for the 7 day Hatha Yoga package, ended up trying silence, fasting and the detox. I was able to explore and adjust as I went along. I also spent a couple days volunteering afterwards. Highly recommend. You get to work on their beautiful grounds (away from the retreat), helping with their sustainable garden. If I could give 10 stars, I would.
Read on GoogleI experienced a 6-day silent yoga retreat at Sadhana Yoga Retreat Centre, and it was far beyond what I expected. I’ll start with the food because it truly deserves a mention. Every day, Sharmila, the lovely cook, served fresh, homemade Nepali meals that tasted like heaven — simple, nourishing, and made with so much love and care. You could feel it in every meal. The location is something really special. Set on a hill, away from the busy Lakeside area of Pokhara, it creates a peaceful space perfect for going inward. At the same time, you can walk to Lakeside in about 30 minutes if you want a bit of movement or a change of scene — the perfect balance between quiet and accessibility. The place itself is beautiful and serene, with a lovely garden and rooftop to relax and soak in the surroundings. There’s a certain energy there that makes it very hard to leave. After finishing my retreat, I stayed a few extra days — in total around 10–11 days — because it truly started to feel like home. The staff were incredibly kind, warm, and genuine. Over the days, I built real connections, and it stopped feeling like I was a guest — I felt held, seen, and part of something. Before coming, I was a bit skeptical. I wasn’t sure if six days of yoga, meditation, and silence would be for me. What I really appreciated was the flexibility they offered — just knowing I had the option to leave made it easier to fully commit. But in the end, I didn’t want to leave at all. I practiced with three teachers: the morning teacher, Shree, and the evening teacher, Drishan — something I feel deeply grateful for. Shree has such a gentle, grounding presence. The way he holds space feels effortless, calm, and safe — like you can truly drop into yourself without pressure. Drishan, in his own way, brought a beautiful depth and sincerity to the practice. There was something very real and heartfelt in the way he guided us, something that stayed with me beyond the sessions ✨ Both of them, in different ways, created an environment that felt not just like a class, but like a shared, meaningful experience. I didn’t just practice yoga there — I felt it. The yoga is Hatha style — slower, simple, and focused on awareness and breath. I’m used to more dynamic styles like Yin & Yang, Ashtanga, and Power yoga, so at first it felt different. But I came to truly appreciate this pace — it allows you to go deeper in a very mindful, meditative way. We also practiced breathwork with the owner, Asanga, whose vision and care are reflected in every detail of the retreat. You can feel how much heart has gone into creating this space — not just physically, but energetically. The daily rhythm of yoga, meditation, breathwork, and silence took me somewhere deeper than I expected. It wasn’t just relaxing — it created a real inner shift. This experience inspired me to take breathwork more seriously and bring parts of this practice into my everyday life. The silence itself was a journey. At first, it felt unfamiliar, even uncomfortable — but over time, it became deeply nourishing. It allowed me to connect with myself in a way I hadn’t in a long time. I would recommend Sadhana to anyone looking for a genuine, heartfelt experience — whether you’re a beginner or simply want to slow down, disconnect, and reconnect with yourself. Sadhana is not just a retreat center — it’s a place that stays with you long after you leave 🤍🤍 धेरै माया र कृतज्ञता तपाईं सबैलाई। यहाँ बिताएका दिनहरू मेरो जीवनमा सधैं रहनेछन्। फेरि भेट्नेछु ❤️
