These are reviews published on Google, not on Retreat Ledger. I completed my 200-hour Yoga TTC at Rishikul Yogshala in June 2026, and what a fantastic experience it has been! I truly recommend this course to anyone who wants to gain a deep understanding of Traditional Yoga. Course and Curriculum: The course covers Ashtanga, Hatha, Yoga Philosophy, Pranayama, Mantra, Meditation, Adjustment & Alignment, Teaching Methodology and Ayurveda. Each week, we had 5 days of classes and 2 days off. Class days consisted of 8 hrs of teaching, out of which 3 hours were asana practice (Ashtanga in the morning and Hatha in the afternoon). Even on our days off, the Yogshala kindly organised extra activities - e.g. sunrise at the Kunjapuri Temple excursion, Iyengar Yoga Workshop, Ayurvedic Massage Workshop - all were free of charge, and we enjoyed them very much. Accommodation and Food: Accommodation is simple, comfortable and clean. I stayed in a private room (with en-suite bathroom), which I recommend if having individual space to rest and reflect is important for you. Food is provided 3 times a day. All meals are sattvic and freshly prepared every day. However, I did find the meals had less protein than what I'm used to, thus I would recommend bringing some protein powder or nuts. Safety: As a solo female traveller visiting India for the first time, I was cautious about safety. I always felt safe at the Yogshala - there are CCTV cameras all over the school, and the entrance gates close at night. The Yogshala also organised my taxi transfer to and from Delhi Airport - they connected me with another student before my arrival, so we shared a taxi. Other Reflections: I will highlight that this is not a Yoga retreat. This course is demanding, and to get the most out of it, some prior exposure to Yoga Philosophy and Asana (or at least some form of exercise) is necessary, as you will be practising every day and should be ready to commit to this journey. Thank you, Rishikul Yogshala - all the Teachers and Staff Members, for creating such a wonderful learning experience and environment. Namaste :)

I completed the 200 hours yoga teachers course at Rishikul Yogshala. It was a truly amazing and transformative experience. The classes are very well organized and the knowledge shared by the teachers is priceless, very profound and comprehensive. It covers all aspects of yoga from philosophy to asanas, pranayama and meditation. Teachers supported me to gain the confidence to teach yoga and continue learning myself. I also appreciated the fact that more than a half of our group were local Indian students. That helped so much to dive into the culture and made this experience very unique.

My experience at rishigul yogshala was outstanding. All the teachers were very knowledgeable, kind and caring. There was an genuineness about wanting to stay true to their own believes and values and sharing that with the students. I learned a lot. The food was amazing too. They really tried to do their best to accomodate everyone and I loved every meal. I had a lot of luck with my group too. We became a little family in a very short ammount of time. When im going back to India to do my 300h course, I will definitely come back here. Love to all, Namaste.
