What travellers say on Google
These are reviews published on Google, not on Retreat Ledger. We show them because a listing with no first-hand accounts yet still deserves some evidence, but they are not moderated by us and they never affect the Retreat Ledger Score. Google returns at most five, chosen by them, so treat this as a sample rather than the full picture.
We had an absolutely amazing experience in Chapada Diamantina and honestly cannot recommend this company enough. We are very experienced travelers and hikers ourselves, and usually prefer doing things independently, but going with a guide here was 100% worth it. Even if you are experienced, the guides save you an incredible amount of time and energy. They know all the small roads, hidden entrances, shortcuts, trail conditions, best timing for each activity, and all the little details you would never figure out on your own. Without them, we would have wasted so much time navigating and planning logistics instead of actually enjoying the experience. Everything was organized perfectly from beginning to end. The hikes, waterfalls, viewpoints, caves, and activities were all unforgettable, and having knowledgeable local guides made the entire experience smoother, safer, and much more enjoyable. You can really feel their passion for Chapada Diamantina and their desire to give people the best possible experience. A special thank you to all of the guides for their professionalism, kindness, patience, and positive energy throughout the trip. And a huge thank you to Flavia as well for the super rapid responses, the constant follow-up during our stay, and for always being available whenever we had questions or needed help organizing something. The communication and customer service were honestly exceptional. This was one of the highlights of our Brazil trip and we are extremely grateful for the experience. If you are visiting Chapada Diamantina, we truly recommend going with them — even if you normally travel independently. It made a massive difference for us. Side note: Consider staying in Lençóis, Bahia. Beautiful, safe, and very tourist-welcoming place!
Read on GoogleSuperb experience from start to end. Great communication, straightforward booking process, quick response to all my questions and clear information prior to each tour day. I ended up booking the 4-days of Diamantina Connection and it was absolutely fantastic. A special thanks to Rodolfo - our guide - for showing us all the sights: waterfalls, mountains, caves, natural pools, panoramic sunsets. He’s a source of knowledge, was very caring and always full of good energy! I cannot recommend this local agency enough.
Read on GoogleI had the best time with this agency! I did a day trip to mosquito waterfall and cave snorkelling and three days hiking in Vale do Pati with Evan. Evan was an incredible guide, super supportive, helpful and knowledgeable. We had a laugh during the hikes and even learned some Portuguese! The hike was intense, the views and experience was worth it. It was definitely my highlight of my three months travelling around Brazil. The food served was good (especially the salad Evan prepared!). The only improvement would be if the accommodation labelled which food was vegetarian as this caused issues.
Read on GoogleHad a great trip with them! Their guide Salomão was really nice, took great pictures and knew a lot about the local nature! Also the organization beforehand was easy and communication was great! Would definitely recommend!
Read on GoogleWe spent 4 days in a trek in Chapada Diamentina in Aug '25. It was all organized by Tiago, and Salomon was our guide. It was an amazing experience from A to Z. Tiago and Salomon were extremely savvy, friendly and helpful - and flexible enough to adapt to our (changing) needs - thank you again Salomon for your patience, generosity and spirit!!! The place is unique (savannah on top of the plateau, thick forest at the bottom of the canyons, cliffs, water falls...) and the people are fantastic. Best experience.
