A dream location in the rainforest! Howler monkeys awaken you daily. Food is fantastic and I’m a meat eater. People are SO NICE and willing to help you in any way. Will be returning!
Read on GoogleI just returned from a transformative week at Peace Retreat during their Intimacy Workshop over the winter solstice, and it was one of the most profound experiences my partner and I have ever shared. We came looking to deepen our connection and left with exactly that—along with greater openness, trust, and presence in our relationship and within ourselves. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful, set in lush jungle with simple, lovely bungalows. It’s a little over a mile to the beach (an easy, pleasant walk or quick drive), and the sounds of nature are constant and soothing. The open bathroom design in our bungalow (no door!) ended up being a powerful, unexpected teacher in vulnerability and letting go of unnecessary privacy—perfectly aligned with the workshop themes. The workshop itself was masterfully facilitated with warmth, depth, and safety. Daily sessions, embodied practices, and a powerful fire ceremony helped us gently release old patterns of holding, control, and protection, making space for real intimacy. It felt transformative without ever being overwhelming. The food was a highlight—every breakfast and dinner was fresh, plant-based, creative, and absolutely delicious. Tropical fruits, smoothies, hearty bowls, avocado toasts, and flavorful Costa Rican-inspired dishes made with local ingredients and served with love. Meals became joyful daily rituals that nourished us completely. The staff were kind, attentive, and fully present, creating a space that truly felt held. Peace Retreat isn’t just a place to stay—it’s a container for genuine healing and connection. If you’re ready to soften, open, and grow (with a partner or solo), I can’t recommend it highly enough. We’re already looking forward to returning. Pura vida!
Read on GoogleFavorite retreat center I have ever been to! It’s nestled in the jungle, & the energy is so calm. They have amazing classes, practitioners and ceremonies. Kevin is a wonderfully deep teacher who intrigues me with every class. Berenice, Alejandro and Ignacio are awesome facilitators! There is a woman in the spa who gives incredible massages! Short walk to the beach, there’s a super cool outdoor shopping center not too far away, the food is always excellent at Peace & the staff are so warm and welcoming. Highly recommend! Many retreats go through this center, There is No Spoon has been the one I’ve attended twice♥️

Through out the organizing process, management was understanding, patient and super helpful. While there, we were treated with so much kindness, support and love. This is truly a one of a kind place. It is located on a luscious property, supported by the sweetest staff and we were provided the most delicious meals. The add on ceremonies were also transformational. And if that’s not enough, there are tons of adorable monkeys that we spent hours watching. This is a special space, whatever landed you on this property, book it.
