What travellers say on Google
These are reviews published on Google, not on Retreat Ledger. We show them because a listing with no first-hand accounts yet still deserves some evidence, but they are not moderated by us and they never affect the Retreat Ledger Score. Google returns at most five, chosen by them, so treat this as a sample rather than the full picture.
My wife and I have traveled the world. We appreciate each experience for what it is, and are thankful for welcoming people wherever we travel. In over 50 years of exploring, eating and enjoying different cultures, there have been some places that stand out as “best” of the rest. Milia is at the top of this list. We first came here in 2002 and have dreamt of returning. We are now here with family members and everything is as magical as we remembered. The staff are amazing, the stone cottages clean and charming and the food is incredible! Like nowhere else on earth…..I highly recommend at least once in your travels to see this bit of heaven!🙏
Read on GoogleMilia might be the most beautiful place on Earth. We will keep the place in hour heart - its beautiful nature, its excellent food and its warmhearted team (including the dogs). Thank you for having us. We'll come back.
Read on GoogleSuch an amazing, beautiful an tranquil place, I’ve enjoyed every second! The small buildings and rooms are so cosy, as is the restaurant they have. It’s in the middle of nature, no cars or towns in the direct vicinity. I loved the piece and silence there. At night you see so many stars because there is barely any light pollution. The breakfast (which was included) is most delicious. The meals served in the restaurant are ever tasty. All the staff are very kind, polite and helpful. Many great hiking options too. This was my second time visiting Milia but I’ll definitely return again!
Read on GoogleTo get here, put in Google maps Vlatos village and then look out for the wooden signs for Milia Resort. The dirt road up the mountain is about 5km and gets VERY steep at some points. Drive slowly!!! They are open daily from early April to November. In between those months they open for the weekends I believe. The food is amazing. We had the fennel pies with amazing puree on top. The free range chicken with fried potatoes was cooked to perfection and artichokes with vegetables had a wonderful dill taste. The bread is wonderful with olive oil. The lemon ginger ice cream is spectacular and cheesecake was good but I didn't enjoy the cibwmmon cake like base but that's a personal preference. The actual cheese bit of the cheesecake was wonderful. The house wine was very good and everything was of a reasonable price for the quality you're getting. It was our second time here and it was still amazing.
Read on GoogleThis will be one of the most memorable and meaningful experiences of your trip to Greece. The food in the restaurant is amazing. The service and hospitality for our group of 12 women was amazing. We loved the personalized experiences. Mochmoud - one of the young staff took amazing care of us, as did the waiters in the restaurant. The story, history, beauty, and peacefulness of this place is healing & restorative. I can’t wait to come back to this special place.
