What travellers say on Google

These are reviews published on Google, not on Retreat Ledger. We show them because a listing with no first-hand accounts yet still deserves some evidence, but they are not moderated by us and they never affect the Retreat Ledger Score. Google returns at most five, chosen by them, so treat this as a sample rather than the full picture.

KE’s “Gosainkund & Langtang Trek” was a great, very well-planned trip where we walked most days from 8am until 4pm with stops for optional morning coffee/tea and pre-paid-for lunch. The days were not long distance-wise but were tough with 1,500 – 4,000 ft of hot & sweaty uphill most days. Air India cancelled my outbound flight to Delhi just after midnight and I thought my whole trip was “off”. but KE Adventure staff were wonderful even though it was a Sunday and the offices were closed. They kept me positive and arranged transport that enabled me to catch up with the group so I only missed the first 2 days strenuous trekking. Pleased I was able to complete the trek at the age of 79 and climb Kyanjin Ri (4,773m) with Uni one of our Sherpa guides.

Vic Falls to Cape Town is one of the classic KE inspired biking adventures of all time. This is such a beautiful journey, led by experience local guides, who are among the best in the business.

First time travelling with KE Adventure and all my expectations were exceeded. I did the Ice and Spires tour to Patagonia which was fabulous. The scenery is amazing, the Torres del Paine trek was challenging but incredibly rewarding, and the guides were brilliant. I will definitely book again with this company.

Just made many unforgettable memories thanks to KE adventures. We completed an Everest Yeti luxury lodge Trek (saw Everest and Sherpa lifestyle) and a Northern India tour, effectively the Golden Triangle (The Taj Mahal mind blowingly beautiful). So incredibly fortunate also to see 6 tigers and a leopard on our 2 Safari's!

This was a truly fantastic tour. We saw far more the we dared hope to see, starting with a rare black rhino, and including 2 cheetahs with a recent zebra-kill and circling vultures. The 2 guides Victor and Keith were knowledgeable and made sure we were safe and happy. Ours was a multi-national group. There were 4 Germans, 3 Swiss, 2 Aussies, one French chap, one Kiwi and me. We quickly bonded, helped by mucking in with meal preparation and clambering over each other as we got in and out of the Land Cruiser (used on game drives) and our trusty ‘Red Elephant ’ truck used to drive from Johannesburg to Victoria Falls. Be prepared to get dusty and grubby, and somewhat shaken with long days of driving. It will all be worth it! Take a filter bottle, and there is a 100 litre bottle of water in the Red Elephant so you don’t need to buy plastic bottles. It will get very hot, especially when you are camping. There weren’t any chargers in the vehicles so taking a Powerbank is very useful. Botswana is cheap so Zimbabwe prices (in US dollars) are a bit of a surprise. As long as you don’t expect luxury then you will have an amazing time.
