These are reviews published on Google, not on Retreat Ledger. I was at Kairali for 2 weeks and my experience was mixed. If you are coming here for pure Ayurveda, then this place is amazing. I would recommend you to only come with an expectation of pure Ayurveda. The doctors are really professional and treatments are appropriate. The masseurs are great (barring 1-2). Would like to compliment Devdas here. Would also like to compliment the yoga teacher Sivaraman. He is very learned and experienced. Food: Ayurveda is all about maintaining a healthy satvic diet. So they do adhere to that. However what I felt was that the food got very monotonus after sometime. Like all curries tasted exactly the same. I would have expected some variation here. On most days, they only served gourds (ash, bottle, ridge, bitter, snake). However the variety of soups were good. My main complaint here is about the accomodation and service. The room tariffs are not at all justified. At 22000₹ a night, the rooms had the following issues: 1. A person with a height of 6'1 cannot fit on the bed as it was too short. 2. The charging ports were so old that that they didn't work without an adapter. We are in 2026. 3. The epoxy flooring had dents and grooves which made the room look extremely cheap. 4. There was not study desk or a working table. People stay here for long durations, this is very important for working people. 5. Room service and housekeeping was a major problem. The housekeeping never cleared used utensils. This is for the first time I am seeing that housekeeping is not concerned about utensils. When I complained, they just kept the utensils outside my room which attracted ants. And upon complaining again, it was never rectified. 6. The furniture was very tough to use and seemed that it has worn out. Drawers were not opening properly. 7. They had an amphitheatre, but there was not a single cultural event or show there during 2 weeks. I think they should organise ice breakers and collaborative events here because all guests are staying for a long term. I wonder why it is there. It got boring after a point staying alone. 8. They have a very tranquil stream by every room but the water is still here attracting all kinds of insects. They only open the flow of the water for an hour in the morning. I would recommend them to have the flow 24x7 so it actually feels like a stream and does not get stagnant attracting all kinds of pests near the room. I wouldn't have even mentioned these points if the price wasn't this steep. But at the price point Kairali is operating I expect no slack in the quality of accomodation. Some suggestions for improvement: 1. Having a digital conceirge application that collates all the information about my stay, health, diet, weekly menu, requests, support in one place accessible from everywhere. 2. Immediate renovation of all rooms (or reducing the prices to justify the quality offered. 3. Rethinking about the menu to make it more diverse. I am sure there can be innovation in Satvik food as well. 4. Having a souvenir shop/museum in the premises where guests can purchase artefacts, collectibles and essentials. 5. There are many treks and national parks. For a solo guest, renting their car is very expensive. Kairali can instead conduct fixed group departures to some of these nature oriented experiences at reduced costs.

My stay at Kairali Ayurvedic Healing Village was truly perfect. The room was exceptionally quiet, offering a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere throughout my stay. The overall ambience of the property is absolutely top-notch—calm, rejuvenating, and beautifully maintained. The welcome I received was a wonderful and unexpected surprise, which made the experience even more special. The doctor was incredibly helpful, attentive, and knowledgeable, guiding me with great care. The staff, however, could be more kind and attentive in their interactions. Overall, it was a memorable and healing experience, and I would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking to relax and rejuvenate.

This was truly a blessed experience. We had an unexpected turn of events with me falling sick on the first day and the doctors at the center were available late night also to check my condition. The kitchen staff were amazing in their service in sending food to the room and later to the hospital. I would absolutely recommend this place for the treatments, the soul food and the affectionate staff

Dear Team Kairali, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude for the days I spent at your Ayurvedic health and spiritual retreat in India. Although my stay was short, it was deeply meaningful and transformative. During my detox, I learned to truly respect my body, understand its rhythm, and connect with the profound love and faith that are so present in Indian culture. I was touched by the millenary wisdom of Ayurvedic medicine and the genuine care with which every treatment was offered. This experience brought me healing, clarity, and inner peace. I am truly grateful to each member of your team for their dedication, kindness, and spiritual guidance. I would like to let you know that I will definitely return soon, this time for a longer period, so I can continue this journey of health, balance, and self-discovery in your beautiful sanctuary. With all my appreciation and respect, Taiuska Villa de Lima
