I recently attended an Ayurvedic Yoga Retreat. During my visit I had a consultation with the Ayurvedic Nutritionist Manikya Ranashinghe. I thought she was VERY knowledgeable and I paid for an extra personal consultation. Manikya provided me with an "Action Plan" to follow once I arrived home. I felt this was more beneficial to me .....the treatments are great but I felt I needed extra assistance once I was home. It is now 8 weeks since I have attended the Retreat and I have followed the "Action Plan". I have now lost 6 kilos which is AMAZING for someone with Thyroid issues who has been struggling to lose weight for years. Thanks to Manikya my body is now functioning properly!! I HIGHLY recommend to all guests not to overlook the power and support an Action Plan can provide once you return home from the Retreat. Thank you SO MUCH Manikya for giving me my health and motivation back!! Warm Regards Leanne

Heritance Ayurvedara Beruwala is simply extraordinary. It is not a normal hotel, but an authentic Ayurveda experience and total regeneration. The structure is surrounded by greenery, well-kept and with an ocean setting that immediately transmits peace and serenity. The rooms are very comfortable, clean and perfectly in line with the Ayurvedic style. Treatments are the real strength: competent doctors, personalized therapies daily and therapists of the highest level. Professionalism, attention and great respect for the guest are perceived from Ruwan and colleagues. Ayurvedic cuisine is also excellent: healthy, balanced and surprisingly tasty, with great variety and fresh ingredients. It's managed by a top experience Chef and kept in the best possible way in terms of cleanliness and organization. As well as a truly remark to the service side. Management and staff are always friendly, smiling and helpful, making your stay even more special. You return home regenerated in body and mind. An experience that I recommend without hesitation to those seeking true well-being, authenticity and absolute tranquility. My second visit and without hesitation, I will be returning to repeat and repeat. Thank you to all teams!

Dear Heritance Team, I would like to sincerely thank you for the beautiful moments I experienced during my 16-day stay with you. Your hotel, services, and the entire Heritance team truly feel like a little piece of paradise on earth. I enjoyed so many wonderful experiences – from my daily treatments, of which there were many, to the yoga sessions, meditation, and the incredible cuisine. Your hotel has a truly unique atmosphere, with the ocean so close and the most breathtaking sunsets. I would especially like to thank Dr. Kalpan and Ms. Dilina, who genuinely care and are always willing to help and address every concern. My thanks also go to Ms. Manykia for her valuable advice on proper nutrition. A special thank you to my wonderful team of therapists – Manori, Sumali, Suneetha, and Sanduni,Damit– who took care of me every day and contributed so much to my inner peace. Heritance also has an outstanding chef who constantly surprises with new flavors, and I truly enjoyed the excellent yoga sessions with Leslie. Its really worth it.

I had a very good experience at Ayurveda Mahagedara. The place is calm, clean, and very relaxing. The staff are friendly and always ready to help. The Ayurvedic treatments are very professional and help people feel refreshed and healthy. The food is also good and suitable for the treatment process. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants authentic Ayurvedic treatment in a peaceful environment.

This was our second stay. Our first visit (7 nights) had been excellent, which is why we decided to return. Unfortunately, this second experience was very disappointing. From the moment we arrived, we felt uncomfortable due to repeated comments questioning why we had booked the hotel only one day in advance. We booked last minute simply because we could and wanted to, and because the hotel’s own official website allowed us to do so. Guests should not be made to feel reproached or unwelcome for using the booking system provided by the hotel itself. We also noticed that the hotel appeared overcrowded. There were many guests, and the therapists clearly seemed exhausted. The overall atmosphere and level of attention were not the same as during our first stay. This raises an important question: if the center is already saturated, why continue accepting more guests, especially in a medical-oriented retreat where proper care and follow-up are essential? I want to be very clear: I did not arrive ill. I am generally healthy and chose this retreat as a preventive detox and wellness experience. However, from the very first night, both my daughter and I began to feel unwell after starting the medications, something that had never happened during our previous stay. One of the prescribed medications caused me significant nausea. I reported this and was told it would be changed, but it never was, despite reporting it twice. During the last two nights, I developed severe abdominal pain and extreme bloating, with visible inflammation. When I returned to the doctor, I was told additional treatment would be provided, but nothing happened. I was later told that the medication I already had was “enough,” without further examination or follow-up. I felt dismissed and not properly cared for. I ended up avoiding food on the day of departure out of fear of worsening my condition. My daughter also became ill during our stay, experiencing vomiting on the first night. I want to emphasize that the waiters, room service staff, therapists, massage practitioners, and the chef were consistently kind and professional. This does not seem to be a general staff issue, but rather a serious problem related to overcapacity, medical follow-up, and guest care standards. I came seeking wellness and preventive care and left feeling physically unwell and unheard. I share this review so future guests can make an informed decision.
