What travellers say on Google
These are reviews published on Google, not on Retreat Ledger. We show them because a listing with no first-hand accounts yet still deserves some evidence, but they are not moderated by us and they never affect the Retreat Ledger Score. Google returns at most five, chosen by them, so treat this as a sample rather than the full picture.
Castle Hot Springs is a very special place to us! We just got home from our 4th visit in 40 months to celebrate the anniversary of our engagement last year on a hike at Salvation Peak! Truly a desert oasis- the location is perfect for a romantic, quiet, relaxing getaway. The whole staff are exceptionally friendly! Love farm to table food, presentation is like a piece of art on your plate and the taste is incredibly delicious- a culinary experience! The hot springs energy healing waters are amazing especially under the stars. We can’t wait to go back!!
Read on GoogleA one of a kind destination that offers a wide range of activities to relax or seek outdoor adventure. The hospitality and dining are top notch, every detail thought of and followed through on. The owners did an amazing job of bringing back this historical treasure back to life for all of us to enjoy. When you come here and learn about the history of the property & surrounding land, it adds to the experience.
Read on GoogleGreat service and great experience. Loved the watsu and via ferrata / rappelling. Hoping they add intro rock climbing / top roping in the future. Top service, amazing food, great attention and respect for food allergies. Even at very high end resorts sometimes finding people who properly understand allergies can be hard, so really love and appreciate their effort to make us feel safe with allergies. Our second stay and we hope to return in the future.
Read on GoogleExcellant vacation. Despite record heat had an enjoyable relaxing few days. Staff went above and beyond. Carlos even waved us down a mile down the road. They had forgotten to give us a pizza on our take out order when we had checked out. Now that is service!! Food was excellant as was pool service. Grounds are beautiful and well kept. Wildlife included a herd of wild burros (loud and proud) off property. 25 species of birds, including 100 Turkey Vultures that nest every night at the results. Need a song to make this place famous (When the Vultures come back to Castle Hot Springs) A TRUE HIDDEN. Pro tip Make sure to have 4 wheel drive or larger vehícule as last 7 miles of road are TEETH RATTLING in places.
Read on GoogleThere is no way I can summarize my 3 nights here in this little box. The other 5 star reviews capture most of it. I booked this trip with my daughter as a retirement treat to myself and loved EVERY minute....including the 7 mile dirt road in a rented Jeep Wrangler. We got to see a family of burros up close and personal! Staff all A+. Enjoyed getting to learn about them. Food A+. All clean and fresh and top notch. Activities A+, both included and additional cost. Grounds A+. Well kept, and stunningly beautiful at night with all the backlighting in the shrubs/trees. Not one detail was left unattended nor need unmet during our stay. I was wished a happy retirement during many interactions. I will be back. This time with my other 2 daughters. It's a splurge trip for sure but money I will happily spend again.
