What travellers say on Google
These are reviews published on Google, not on Retreat Ledger. We show them because a listing with no first-hand accounts yet still deserves some evidence, but they are not moderated by us and they never affect the Retreat Ledger Score. Google returns at most five, chosen by them, so treat this as a sample rather than the full picture.
Disappointed! - I held off on writing this review incase my experience was a one-off, but this appears to be systemic. I suspect financial distress or new management. I came here with my wife who has stayed here several times. She used to speak very highly of Canyon Ranch, but this trip was riddled with errors. She just returned from another try with one of her friends, and it was even worse. Front desk staff during my stay seemed intentionally rude and overtly indifferent. I don't expect any service people to be fake friendly, but the "I just don't care" 1000 yard stare as you sit there wondering.... did I cut in line.... am I invisible.... ??? This was followed by a long wait for our room. Most of the services I received were very good and with practitioners that have worked there for a long time.
Read on GoogleBest place for your overall health journey . Always something to do whether you want to go to the spa, work on your athletic performance, or just relax. Never ending choices of healthy food . Here are some things I recommend . 1. Relaxation - floating sound meditation 2. For athletes - strength and endurance clinic 3. Workout - glide and burn. If you want quiet time and just read I found the perfect isolated spot behind the retail store . Not many people know about it always empty .
Read on Google10/10 recommend for a Babymoon! My husband and I enjoyed a relaxing, wellness and self care focused weekend as we await the arrival of a new baby. The property is beautiful, well cared for and with intentional details throughout. We appreciated the ease and convenience of all inclusive with healthy, tasty food options and an abundance of services and experiences to choose from. The staff in all aspects of the business went above and beyond to care for us and ensure a fantastic stay. We cannot wait to come back!
Read on GoogleWe truly wanted to love Canyon Ranch. After visiting numerous five-star resorts — including Miraval — I was genuinely excited to experience the esteemed Canyon Ranch Tucson. Unfortunately, from the moment we booked, the experience was riddled with errors. We encountered issues with check-in, unexpected schedule changes, incorrect departure times, long restaurant wait times, and even a disappointing massage experience (the therapist’s noticeably unshaven arms made what should have been a relaxing treatment uncomfortable). The final frustration came with a billing error. When we attempted to discuss it, our concerns were not acknowledged — we were simply told, again, that the charge would be corrected (which only happened after our third request). There was no ownership, no apology, and no recognition of the broader experience. At approximately $6,400 for two people for a two-night “all-inclusive spa” stay, we expected seamless service and thoughtful hospitality. Sadly, that was not our experience. Based on our visit, we would strongly encourage others to carefully consider alternative resorts.
Read on GoogleCanyon Ranch Tucson has a lot to love. The setting is stunning, the rooms are comfortable and serene, and the food is consistently fresh and delicious. We especially appreciated the engaging and friendly restaurant staff, and the spa services were excellent, with a wide variety of treatments and skilled providers. Unfortunately, our stay was marred by a few unprofessional interactions with staff, including an incident that resulted in a member of our group being injured. What was most concerning was not the incident itself, but how poorly it was handled. Staff did not follow their own policies or act with the urgency and care the situation required, and management did not follow up until the next day. It cast a shadow over an otherwise lovely trip. Even so, Canyon Ranch remains a truly special place. The atmosphere, focus on wellness, and sense of relaxation and renewal are unique. Consistency in staff professionalism and guest care is an area that really needs improvement.
