What travellers say on Google
These are reviews published on Google, not on Retreat Ledger. We show them because a listing with no first-hand accounts yet still deserves some evidence, but they are not moderated by us and they never affect the Retreat Ledger Score. Google returns at most five, chosen by them, so treat this as a sample rather than the full picture.
I have been coming to Blue Spirit since it opened. Each time, it's a wonderful reset. I love the ocean, the delicious food, the pool, the comfy rooms, the natural beauty, the kind staff, and all the wildlife. Pura vida!
Read on GoogleOur group of 5 had an amazing experience at Blue Spirit Hotel. From the moment we arrived, Mike at the reception made us feel welcome and taken care of. Everyone on the staff was extremely attentive and always offered great recommendations and different activities to enjoy during our stay. We stayed in a couple of the Nature Suites, and waking up surrounded by nature every morning was absolutely incredible. The atmosphere was peaceful, relaxing, and exactly what we were looking for. A special thank you as well to Erick at the buffet. The food was excellent — fresh, clean, and made with natural, local ingredients and simple seasonings that really highlighted the quality of the meals. Every meal felt healthy, authentic, and delicious. Overall, the service, accommodations, food, and environment exceeded our expectations. We would definitely recommend Blue Spirit Hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and nature-filled getaway.
Read on GoogleBlue Spirit is an absolutely beautiful and unforgettable place. From the moment you arrive, you can feel the peace, care, and intention behind every detail. The location is stunning, surrounded by nature, with ocean views, beautiful gardens, and a peaceful atmosphere that makes it easy to relax and reconnect. The staff is one of the best parts of the experience. Everyone is warm, kind, professional, and genuinely helpful. They make you feel welcome and cared for throughout your entire stay, always with a smile and a thoughtful attitude. The rooms are very comfortable, clean, and beautifully maintained. They feel peaceful and inviting, with everything you need for a restful stay. The facilities are also excellent: spacious yoga rooms, lovely common areas, walking paths, a beautiful dining space, and an amazing swimming pool that is perfect for relaxing between sessions. The food is fresh, delicious, and nourishing, and everything about the property feels designed to support rest, wellbeing, and connection. Whether you are attending a retreat, practicing yoga, enjoying the pool, or simply taking in the beauty of Costa Rica, Blue Spirit offers a truly special experience. I would highly recommend Blue Spirit to anyone looking for a peaceful, inspiring, and beautifully cared-for retreat center. It is a magical place with wonderful people, great rooms, excellent facilities, and an atmosphere that stays with you long after you leave.
Read on GoogleThe price-to-quality ratio here is quite puzzling. The place presents itself as a retreat center, which apparently means that guests clear their own dishes and take care of small chores themselves. That would actually make sense if the overall atmosphere reflected a simple, community-based retreat. However, the hotel itself feels rather old and worn, while the prices seem to belong to an entirely different level of luxury. Even simple snacks or cakes are priced so high that trying to understand the logic behind it almost becomes a spiritual exercise. What feels especially ironic is that the center positions itself as a space for people on a spiritual path. One would expect a certain sense of balance and integrity in such a place. Instead, it sometimes feels more like commerce disguised as spirituality. The idea of the place is lovely, but the reality — and especially the pricing — feels somewhat out of alignment with the values it claims to promote.
Read on GoogleMy partner and I had the most wonderful experience at Blue Spirit Retreat! From the moment we arrived, we were enchanted by the serene atmosphere and breathtaking views. The cozy accommodation, complemented by the soothing sound of rain, created the perfect environment to relax and unwind. The culinary offerings were exceptional, especially the vegan options, which were both creative and delicious. The smoothies and organic coffee quickly became our favorite indulgences, enjoyed while marveling at the stunning vistas surrounding us. Blue Spirit truly exceeded our expectations and provided a magical escape. We can't wait to return for another serene and rejuvenating experience. Highly recommend!
